Verbode is marking its 15th year in business, continuing its mission of helping Oklahomans find spaces where they can thrive. Founded in 2011 by Sarah Bytyqi, an entrepreneur with deep real estate experience, the company launched with two defining commitments: focus on the revitalization of Oklahoma City’s urban core and operate completely electronically, well ahead of industry trends.
As she established the company, Bytyqi sought guidance from the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (SBDC), working closely with Business Advisor Susan Urbach. Verbode would later become a tenant of a small business incubator in downtown Oklahoma City, gaining valuable guidance and support that helped accelerate its growth.
After graduating from the incubator two years later, Verbode continued to expand its presence in the city. Several years later, the firm purchased a building in the developing Wheeler District, reinforcing its role in Oklahoma City’s evolving urban landscape. Throughout its growth, Bytyqi has maintained a relationship with Urbach and the OKSBDC, continuing to draw on their guidance as the company builds on its 15-year legacy.
