If you submit a loan application to SBA via the streamlined process online, write down or screen shot your application number. The application number should start with a “3”. SBA will be calling applicants to obtain additional information to process the loan. Since this is not a normal process for a government agency, you should ask the caller to verify the loan application number before providing any information. If the caller cannot verify the loan application number, do not release any information.
