Pearman Insurance, a longtime insurance provider serving Thackerville and surrounding communities for more than 30 years, is now under the ownership of third-generation insurance agent Alysa Curbow.
Curbow recently acquired the agency from her mother, who previously took over operations from Curbow’s grandfather, the original founder of Pearman Insurance. The transition marks the continuation of a family-owned business legacy built on personal service and long-standing client relationships.
To support the acquisition process, Curbow worked with Shannon Speir, a Business Advisor with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center. Speir provided guidance throughout the ownership transfer, helping Curbow navigate the complexities of business acquisition and prepare for the next chapter of the agency.
Pearman Insurance will operate primarily as a virtual agency, with Curbow and her team working remotely and meeting clients by appointment. The flexible business model will allow the agency to serve clients across Oklahoma while continuing the relationship-based approach that has defined Pearman Insurance for decades.
